RIIZE: Rising K-pop Star Featured in Bloomberg Originals Documentary

RIIZE has been spotlighted by leading U.S. media.

Bloomberg released a new episode of its own documentary series “Bloomberg Originals” on its website on the 27th (Korea Standard Time).

It released an analysis on the K-pop business. “Hundreds of concerts, thousands of artists, and millions of fans have made K-pop an industry worth 9.3 billion dollars.”

RIIZE was introduced as a K-pop artist with global potential. Their choreography practice, music video, performance of new songs, and interview scenes were included in the documentary.

In particular, “Bloomberg Originals” visited the site of RIZING DAY, the first fan-con tour held in Los Angeles in May.

We covered the story from various angles. We talked about preparations for the fan concert, performances of RIIZE on stage and behind-the-scenes stories. We also heard stories of Breeze (fandom name) gathered at the concert hall.

Kim Hyung-guk and Lee Sang-min, general directors of SM Wizards Productions, also appeared on the show. The two produced music for RIIZE. They explained their global strategy in person.

“Artists like RIIZE identify styles that appeal to young audiences and express them through music,” said Selina Ong, global director of Spotify.

Meanwhile, RIIZE is set to debut in Japan on Sept. 5. It will release its first single, Lucky.
